Austin is a real-life Hannah Montana (but better!)The guy known for being friends of presidents and royalty, considered by some the greatest speaker in the world today (by his grandmother, to name one), in his "other life" (one he'd be pretty embarrassed if his grandmother ever found out about!), he makes videos in his bedroom, singing songs he made in Garageband (the Macintosh program) - but, unlike other people who do the same, or similar things - over a million people a day are exposed to Austin's music. (Just not his grandmother.) Before Austin started high school, after working one summer, he had enough money for two things - he bought a second-hand Macintosh computer that could record four tracks of audio, and registered the domain name PopMusic.com Within minutes of registering PopMusic.com, he realised he had made one the most fateful decisions of his life. Someone from the Russian stock exchange had just typed PopMusic.com into his browser, according to the PopMusic.com weblog, presumably in an off-moment. Within minutes, hundreds more, from Denmark to Bangladesh, had done the same thing.

In fact, according to Google, over a million people (1, 570,000) search for pop music, every day, on Google, alone. PopMusic.com has been a top ten, and sometimes the #1 search result, for over ten years, on all or most major search engines. This means that over the past ten years, relying on Google's numbers alone, 5.7 billion people (1,570,000 X 365 X 10)- about the population of the entire world - have been exposed to Austin's music. While of course some people search for "pop music" more than once, many more return to PopMusic.com without searching at all. Sometimes people skip search engines, and just type PopMusic.com to see what turns up - like that guy in the Russian stock exchange. And millions more like him. And maybe you?!? In any event, it's a helluva lot of people!
