To me, it's just my life, so I don't feel that - but, I suppose, it is.

Like, how many people end up in a shopping mall in Bangladesh talking to a vampire? Not many...but I did! (Well, sort of...)

The Long Version:

One night I couldn't sleep. I'd planned every day of my summer, and I felt...constricted. Trapped in a planned summer...

It was the summer, after all!!!

Two years earlier, I'd met a girl - for 10 minutes - in front of the Louvre. As one does...

I don't remember telling her my name, but I must have, as Facebooked, I was invited, nonstop, for two years, to visit her in Bangladesh.

Persistence paid off.

At four in the morning, on one of the first days of my planned summer, what idea sprang to mind as the most random and insane and...unplanned?

Going to Bangladesh.

Two days later, that's where I was.

The next day, I found myself in a shopping mall in Dhaka, talking to the Louvre girl's sister about drinking blood.

This all seemed perfectly natural to me. What else would I be doing? Or, more to the point, what else should I be doing?

Absolutely nothing. There was no place I'd rather be...
