One of the best drummers, horn players, and best guitarists I know all contributed to recording "Sail Away Hey Hey Hey", one of the first songs I ever wrote. "Sail Away" is thus sophisticated simplicity, catchy yet well played. You can't deny the homage to Yellow Submarine in the "sailing interlude" section. Mostly it's an homage to the time when pop songs were "miniature symphonies" that took you on a musical journey, not background sound with a computerised four-on-the-floor beat.
